    Card in a pinch

It's my goal to have cards for all occasions on hand because I always seem to need a card when I'm just too busy to make one. Note how I said it's my goal, but sometimes I fall short.

Quick solution? Use my time-saving tip: Stock fun notecard sets on hand along with a circle punch and your favorite fonts. Quickly print a word or phrase, letters spaced. A few punches and pop dots later and you've got yourself a handmade card (well, for the most part) that's sure to brighten someone's day, ready at a moment's notice.

Like this example I made for my mom's birthday. I discovered the notecards at TJ Maxx (my bargain hunter side is no secret) and loved the bright colors and circles. I knew I could easily transform the notecards into birthday cards with just the right font. Happy with the result!

Bonus discount! Your promo code is SUPER88

I scored some smokin’ deals during last weekend’s Presidents’ Day sales. Do you feel that rush when you discover how much you’re saving? Then you’re in for a high…

If you bought all 30 fonts featured in CK Super Bundle 4 individually, you’d pay $90. Bundled, they’re just $30, a savings of $60, or 66%. As if that weren’t good enough already, I’m here to save you even more. Use promo code SUPER88 at checkout to save an additional $5, giving you a total savings of 72% off the original retail price!

ScrapNfonts is the only place you can find these exclusive fonts. So what are you waiting for? Promo code is good through Feb 29.

I’m loving so many of the fonts in this bundle. A few of my favs:

  • Try CK Beetlemeyer on a title. It’s thick enough to draw attention and the thin outline doubles as a sort of drop shadow.
  • Use CK Holland in your journaling for a neat handwritten feel.
  • Keep CK Weez and CK Weez Bold handy in your library of classics—you’ll use them over and over!

    Grandma's layouts, part II

Here's the other half of the project for my Grandma...

  • CK Birthright (title)
  • LB Typewriter Thin (journaling), created by Lisa Bearnson

  • While working on this project, I discovered forgotten tools in my stash: my collection of decorative-edged scissors from years ago. I'd almost gotten rid of them but decided to keep them for craft time with little sisters, nieces and nephews. And while I doubt I'll ever use most of them again on my scrapbook pages, I did uncover a pair of Clouds Fiskars Paper Edgers, which is what I used to cut the soft scalloped edge along the bottom borders.

I think it's spring cleaning time for my scrapbook supplies--who knows what other gems I may find!

    Simple style

Here’s the family layout I made for my grandma’s memory book.

Does your scrap style, or even fashion and decorating styles, reflect your mood? Lately I’ve had an especially strong itch to de-clutter my life, so I wanted to keep this page clean and simple, timeless with a vintage touch.

Just featured some recent pictures of our family and a few notes about what we like to do together, everyday life. But that’s the important stuff, right?

    Grandma’s layout, part I

Grandma turns 90 years old one week from today. 90! But the family comes together on Saturday to celebrate. Our assignment: create a layout for her memory book in lieu of a gift. I’m frozen. Don’t know where to start. And the clock’s a ticking.

I love to scrapbook, but why am I feeling so much pressure from this project? Of course I know why—I want it to be just perfect, something that really expresses how much her living legacy means to us.

When I’m stuck in a rut, I like to browse the SNF website. May sound silly, but you’d be surprised the ideas that each font can inspire, the moods each can convey. And then the wheels start turning. Feel free to add a comment and vote for any fonts you’d recommend.

I’ll be back (before Saturday’s deadline!) to show you what I came up with. To be continued... ;)

    Rich recipe

Oh how I love the simple pleasure of a tasty treat! I finally got this recipe for Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls from a neighbor who made them as a Christmas gift. Very yummy! Even better, it looks like they’re easy to make (a plus for me since my skills in the kitchen aren’t so great).

I was also excited to apply a fun font to this recipe before printing and adding it to my file. I’m inspired by so many fonts that it can be hard to choose just one. Lucky for me (and you!) most items on ScrapNfonts are on sale right now—for just a buck—so building a library full of options won’t break the bank.

I love a deal (and a peanut butter ball)! Download the recipe.

    See just how easy

Alexa took her first steps two days before she turned 11 months. For a month or so after that, she insisted on holding hands or pushing her stroller or even resorting to crawling to get around. Sure she was still sharpening her balance, but she refused to walk by herself on her own accord. Then one day it just clicked and she realized that walking really was the best way to get around. Now there’s no stopping the little munchkin!

Sometimes a little encouragement to try something new is all we need to realize it isn’t so hard. If you haven’t tried, say, a Doodlebat or a printable card kit, seize the day (and the price)! At only $1 each during our Dollar Sale, you can afford to give ‘em a go.

Already experienced with our products? This is your chance to stock up!

    Hurry—the sale ends February 14!

Check out this gorgeous card from Britta at SNF, an example of how you can use Doodlebats to create your own patterned paper.

    I {heart} online deals

Just yesterday I got my car stuck in the snow at the foot of my driveway. Not kidding! It’s safe to say it ruined my day.

Braving the elements is not my favorite thing. So you can understand why I love to shop online. A few clicks and I’m browsing everything from skirts to scrap supplies, searching out the best price. A few more clicks and my finds are on their way to my home. Oh, the anticipation!

Online shopping is even more fun when I can score a deal and start using it right away. At ScrapNfonts, get instant gratification as soon as you check out (our nifty download process installs fonts and Doodlebats for you in seconds); and you’ll think it’s Black Friday all over again with our $1 sale, now through February 14.

Yes, ALL fonts and Doodlebats are only $1 each!

    I’m in love…
